What You Need to Know about Having an Indonesian Massage
I use a grape seed oils with rosemary essential oil to facilitate firm, smooth, slow gliding strokes.
I use firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits.
Woman can keep their underwear and even bra on during the massage as many newcomers do. I advice man against wearing boxer pant during the massage because it will be very hard to work on the Gluteus and Piriformis muscle. It is very important to work on this muscle group deeply to ease lower back pain.
Feel free to state your preference for pressure during the massage. It can range from medium to firm. Indonesian deep tissue massage usually includes some deeper work on areas of specific muscle tension. Please feel free to tell me if you want more intensive work and firmer pressure on a certain area of tension. Professionals sport people always do this when they come for my massage. This will ensure great result because you know your body best.
What to expect from a Indonesian Massage
Your massage will last around 60 or 90 minutes. You'll be given time to undress privately and lie down on the massage table, padded and heated for extra comfort, where you will cover yourself with towels. You don't have to be completely exposed at any point; I will uncover one little bit of you at a time depending on the area I'm focusing on. If you're worried about anything, don't hesitate to tell me.
I will assess your complexion at the start of your treatment. You can then decide to have a general whole body massage or just focus on the area of tension sport massage. Most of my clients go for the full body massage as my massage is firm enough to ease the tension of a particular area in the duration of the massage. Oil will be massaged into your body with a series of firm and slow strokes. The treatment is very sensitive to pressure and takes into account the delicate or tender areas of your body, so it should be comfortable and soothing.
I have slow relaxation music on during massage, as it can help you to unwind. Don't be afraid to say if you'd prefer not to have it - or indeed if you're unhappy with anything else in the treatment room. Being content in your surroundings is important for relaxation and will help you sink happily into your massage.
The same goes for talking. I'm very sensitive to how much you want to communicate and will limit or encourage conversation accordingly. Some people like to chat a bit; others don't. It doesn't matter as long as you're comfortable, relaxed and receptive.
