Enjoy a cleaner feel with bikini line waxing. A pubic hair removal style by pulling the hair out from the root with a resin wax. Bikini line refers to the line visible from the covered part of the bikini from the lower abdomen downward. Stop Shaving Pubic Area and Start Waxing? You are only cutting the hair
from the surface of the skin with shaving which causes the hair to come
back above the surface very quickly. Shaving will also cause thicker
hairs grow. Waxing on the other hand removes the entire hair to its
follicle from the root. Waxing is the better hair removal method if you
want a longer lasting result and finer hair grow. How long the hair
stays away will vary from 2 weeks to 6 weeks and differ from each
Waxing Lasts Longer than Shaving....
Hair grows in cycles: growing, resting and shedding. When you first start waxing, it will last about two weeks. But if you continue to wax every two weeks and get the hair in the same cycles, it will be gone for up to six weeks. This isn’t the case for everyone, as some people just have faster growing hair than others. Waxing an area frequently over time can also damage the hair follicle, and cause it to stop growing hair.
You can do your own waxing if you are just taking the hair outside your bikini line provided you wax carefully and follow the waxing instructions. You could end up breaking hairs above or below the surface, and they will "grow" back much quicker than if the entire hair follicle was removed.
Your skin is often more sensitive the time near your period and waxing can be more painful than normal. So your appointment shouldn't be any closer than a couple of days before or after your period. Most places understandably won’t perform a Brazilian while you’re on your period.
Shower and lightly exfoliate your entire bikini area right before your appointment using warm, not hot water. Make sure you’re extra clean.
Don’t use any lotions in area to be waxed.
You need some hair growth for the wax to hold onto, but not too long which can make the waxing hurt more than it needs to. Let the technician trim hair down to just the right length at your appointment, or follow the salon's specific instructions for trimming.
Don’t wear tight panties for the next few days.
Keep hands away from touching freshly waxed skin, as this can encourage irritation or small pimples.
Don’t take a hot bath for the rest of the day.
Avoid sun beds, saunas or steam rooms for the next two days.
Avoided Sexual activity for at least 24 - 48 hours.
Use a mild exfoliator two days later.
