Nutrition Consultation in Devon

Sue Lovemore graduated from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition in 2000 with Distinction. In addition to running nutritional practices in London and Devon, Sue talks and writes about nutrition. She has post-graduate training in sports nutrition, metabolic typing (which helps to fine-tune the diet for the individual) and specialist nutritional interventions in a number of conditions including chronic fatigue syndrome, autism and immune system problems.

Sue has extensive experience in a wide range of health issues including digestive health, energy and performance, hormonal balance, fertility and skin and joint problems.

Her company, Stop the Clock, was set up in 2000 with five fellow graduates from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition. Between them they have a broad range of experience, which each of them can call on. They keep abreast of all the latest research within the nutritional field, particularly in the fields of genetics and nutrition for longevity and protecting against the diseases of ageing.

What does a consultation involve?

  • Before your consultation you will be asked to fill in a detailed questionnaire, which covers such aspects as health and medical history, diet, lifestyle and current symptoms.
  • The consultation begins with a detailed discussion of your health issues and goals. Then you have a bioenergetic scan, which helps to determine your health priorities. This is a non-invasive screen. It gives information on: Body Organs; Acupuncture Meridians; Digestive System; Vitamin and Mineral Screen; Food Sensitivities; Metabolism; Muscles and Joints; and Emotions.
  • Further biochemical or functional tests are sometimes recommended. If you have any recent test results, please feel free to bring them along to your consultation. Blood Chemistry tests can be analysed from an optimal function perspective and can help to determine nutritional imbalances.
  • An individually tailored Health and Nutrition Programme with any appropriate dietary, supplement and lifestyle recommendations is designed for you.
  • Follow-up consultations may be advised to assess progress and/or make any necessary adjustments to your Programme.
  • Your initial programme is to restore balance. Once restored, your maintenance programme will keep you on track.
